SQUIRM AND GERM BIOS

SQUIRM

Picture
Tim Girrbach (Squirm) has been rocking the stage since his grade school vocal ensemble appeared as the children's choir in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Broadway with Michael Damian (this is not a joke).  Since then he has worked in various shows at The Papermill Playhouse and studied Theater Arts at Rutgers University.  He has trained extensively in improvisation at The Second City and The Upright Citizens Brigade.  He has been featured in national commercial projects for UPS, Wendy's, Guinness, Tide, Lemonheads, and The National Drug Council.  Tim most recently performed and created a comedic character concert as Germany's Manheim Tuttlingen in Birthday Sax at Ars Nova and The Peoples Improv Theater, which was Directed and Choreographed by Wendy Seyb (Pee Wee's Playhouse on Broadway, Yeast Nation).  His musical and creative influences sprawl from Beck to Count Basie to Eric B. and Rakim to Rilo Kiley to Donovan to Jim Henson and beyond.

GERM

Picture
Rodney Umble  (Germ) has been involved with music since birf (sic).  He learned harmonies at a young age both from his family singing grace at the table and with hymns every week at church.  Often sitting by a record player, tape deck and then cd system he'd sing along using lyrics that were guestimated but tones on point - he learned two months ago that Smells Like Teen Spirit's refrain is not, "A mosquito and a beetle."   His early influences include dcTalk, Five Iron Frenzy and Veggie Tales, while his recent influences range from Lil Wayne to Gilbert & Sullivan.  His credits include, Prince Dauntless in Once Upon a Mattress; Max in The Sound of Music; and Townsperson #5 in My Fair Lady.
